Mode of Action
ALPA CLEAN ULTRA provides multi-target antimicrobial action through its complementary active ingredients. Glutaraldehyde reacts with microbial proteins and cellular components, causing structural and functional damage. BKC and DDA disrupt microbial cell membranes, leading to leakage of essential cellular contents and loss of membrane function. Iodophor provides iodine-based antimicrobial activity through oxidation and disruption of critical microbial proteins and enzymes. Together, these mechanisms cause membrane disruption, protein inactivation, enzyme interference, oxidative cellular damage and inhibition of essential microbial functions, helping reduce overall microbial pressure in the pond environment.
